LITTLE ANGELS ACADEMY USES THE CREATIVE AND ABEKA CURRICULUM  

 

 

THE CREATIVE CURRICULUM

  • Developed at the national, state and district levels.

  • The Creative Curriculum goals and objectives have been aligned with state early learning standards.

  • Define what children should know and be able to do in preschool.

  • Include both content and process skills.

  • Provide guidance for planning appropriate experiences.

THE ABEKA CURRICULUM

 

Abeka book is an affiliate of Pensacola Christian College, known across America for its excellence and good character training.

 

The Abeka Book approach to Christian education keeps learning lively, interesting, and memorable.  Abeka materials reflect sensible theory that is firmly anchored to practicality.  The Abeka  curriculum teaches our pre school through 1st grade children phonics, counting, and number-writing activities and reinforce what children learn in the classroom.  The number pages introduce number concepts and the formation of numbers. Children enjoy counting and coloring the familiar objects for each number and forming the numbers.  

 

The phonics-based reading readiness pages are full of carefully sequenced activities in recognition, sound, and formation of vowels (long and short), consonants, consonant-vowel blends, and one-syllable words with one or two vowels.  

 

The various educational resources we use to prepare our children for Kindergarten and elementary school include:  Child Art for 2s and 3s, Writing with Phonics K4, Readiness Skills K4, Kindergarten Writing Tablet and Cursive, Number Skills and Arithmetic. 

 

 

Free Music Lessons 

 

Children who are enrolled in Little Angels Academy ages 3 to Grade 1 receive free music lessons by a professional music instructor. 

 

 

K5 TO GRADE 1

 

Little Angels Academy  K5- 1st grade staff have been providing high quality education to students in a positive Christian environment. We educate the whole child: spiritually, physically, and mentally. Come and get a first hand view of all that LAA has to offer our K5 – first grade students,

 

Highlights:

  • Creative classroom design & wide variety of specialty classes, such as art, computers, library, music, physical education, science lab, gardening, and Spanish

  • Accelerated Reader program

  • SMART boards and plasma screens in every K5-1st grade classroom

  • Spanish and music is offered as an elective.
